Inside-Out Healing: Transforming Your Life Through The Power of Presence – an interview with Dr. Richard Moss
Healing Inside-Out: Transforming Your Life Through The Power of Presence is the latest book of author and Dr. Richard Moss. Author, Life Coach, BPD/Mental Health and Self Improvement Coach, A.J. Mahari, host of the Psyche Whisperer Radio Show interviewed Dr. Richard Moss on Monday June 13th at 4pm Eastern. Dr. Moss has now written 6 books and his previous book, a fantastic and highly illuminating one, is called, The Mandala of Being – Discovering The Power of Awareness is one I’d also highly recommend. I learned so much from reading that book as well and so too can you.
The work of Richard Moss is about being radically alive. Radical means being fully embodied and authentic. Your mind is focused and spacious, your body is ready and relaxed.
You learn how to consistently return to the present moment free from thoughts that create emotional suffering, and able to face even the most difficult feelings in a healthy and productive way.
All the longer programs take place in natural and near-wilderness settings because Nature is the best mirror for the depths of the soul.
Richard Moss is internationally respected as a visionary thinker, teacher and author of six books on transformation, self-healing, and the art of conscious living. More than 30 years ago, he left the practice of medicine after a life-changing realization to dedicate his life to help others realize their multidimensional nature and achieve self-mastery. His teaching bridges science, psychology, energy medicine, and spiritual/awareness practices. He is most well known for the deep experiential nature of his work where people learn holistically with their mind, body, and feelings.
His philosophy is entirely pragmatic: work on consciousness must alleviate human suffering and address the root causes of why and how we create so much conflict in ourselves and our world.
His books include: The I That is We (1981), How Shall I Live (1985), The Black Butterfly: An Invitation to Radical Aliveness (1986), The Second Miracle: Intimacy, Spirituality, and Conscious Relationships (1995), all published by Celestial Arts, Words That Shine Both Ways (self-published in 1997), The Mandala of Being: Discovering the Power of Awareness, published by New World Library, 2007 . His newest book is Inside-Out Healing: Transforming Your Life Through the Power of Presence published February 2011, Hay House. His works have been translated into Spanish, French, German, Romanian, Russian, Portugese and Danish and have sold more than 200,000 copies worldwide.
For over thirty years Dr. Moss has taught in North America, South America, Europe and Australia. He has been interviewed in magazines and newspapers worldwide, and has presented at numerous conferences and at such institutions as Harvard University, Stanford University, University of Chicago Medical School, U.C.L.A., U.C. Berkeley, American University, Washington DC, Georgetown University, and John F. Kennedy University.
Richard Moss Seminars organizes and coordinates the conferences, talks, and seminars taught by Dr. Moss, as well as producing all of his audio and video materials. Three Mountain Foundation, a California not-for-profit charity, was founded in 1984 to support Richard’s work by providing scholarships and interest free loans to individuals in financial need who wish to attend his seminars.
Richard lives in Ojai, CA and has three grown step-children.

Psyche, Butterfly, Transformation
Psyche refers to soul, mind, breath, and life. Within each individual psyche their is an un-tapped gold-mine of awareness that can and will teach each one of us. Truth lives deeply within the psyche. A spiritual truth. In mythology, psyche means or refers to butterfly. Butterfly is symbolic of transformation. For years in my life now, I continue to be surrounded by butterflies. The butterflies seem to come to me in times when I am in aware process of transformation in my life. It is spiritual. It is an awe-inspiring experience for me. I believe that these butterflies don’t just happen to start flying around me in some coincidental way. I think this is an experience calling me to a deeper awareness of purpose and meaning in a spiritual way.
How can we recognize spiritual messages? How can we open to being willing to engage the spirit as it comes to us – as the psyche unfolds more about what it is that we need to know? Are you aware of your journey? Are you living your life in a personally aware and enlightened way or are you living more in the chaos of an every day life that is going on all around this deeper level of life – this spiritual reality that we are all connected to through the universal archetypal psyche of humankind.
Do you trust this inner-wisdom? Are you embracing it? Are you engaging it or are you avoiding it, denying it, running from it. Are you not willing to be open to the purpose and meaning that in its profound spiritual nature comes to us to teach you? Are you living a life of protecting yourself or are you open to learning. We can’t do both at the same time.
Do you know who you are? Do you want to know more about who you really are? Do you realize that the degree to which you are connected to your authentic self inside is the degree to which you can truly connect to others?
Life has so much more meaning and purpose than 9-5, money, and material possessions. Life is about more than the physical. It is about more than the narrow things we can sometimes be focused on that keep us stuck block our paths of further transformation and cause us to be out of balance.
Are you living your life a human-doing or a human being? Are you actively aware and engaged with your beingness or are you soley invested in all that you want to do, need to do, “should” do?
Do you realize how empowered you really can choose to be? Listen to A.J. Mahari in this episode of the Psyche Whisperer Radio Show in the blogtalkradio player in the left hand menu or by going to The Psyche Whisperer on Blogtalkradio.com

Anthony Burbidge – Canadian Singer/Songwriter
A two part interview with the very insightful, wise, and talented Anthony Burbidge, who is a Canadian Singer/Songwriter living in Calgary, Alberta. I had the pleasure of talking with Anthony and I think, like I did, you’ll find what he’s shares about what he learned from the ups and downs in his life to be very educational and inspiring.
Included in the interview you will hear snipets of Anthony’s fabulous music!
Anthony shared his dark-night-of-the-soul journey and the many wonderful lessons that period of his life taught him. Humble and down-to-earth, Anthony was easy to talk to, easy to connect with. He was open and honest about his pain, his emotional challenges with depression and his victory over his false-self and so much more.
Burbidge’s music is also very inspiring. Even more than that, however, he is a very kind and nice person. You can listen to part one available now in the audio player to the left. You can subscribe to our show via iTunes. You can also visit our Psyche Whisperer show page at: blogtalkradio.com Please keep an eye out for part two of this interview coming soon.
With his latest CD, The Great Awakening, Canadian singer-songwriter, Anthony Burbidge, delivers ten songs in a style that’s been called “Empower-Pop/World-Beat,” a blending of inspiring lyrics set against a tapestry of sounds from around the globe – just what the world needs in these uncertain times.
Burbidge’s journey to the creation of this heart opening music is filled with twists and turns. In 1993, he released his first CD while still enrolled in the BMus. Program at Mount Allison University and his ambitious pop/rock songs landed him in the media in his native Canada.
Tragically, within a few months of the CD’s release, the young singer was struck by a severe chronic illness that forced him to abandon his musical path – but not his dreams. Over the next decade, Burbidge retained his musical ties while working in a music store. The job turned out to be the best education a musician could find, and the position afforded him an on-the-job education the music business. Still, Burbidge longed to return to making music of his own.
In 2005, Burbidge left his job managing the music store to focus on making music full-time. By 2007, he released his first CD in 14 years, the acoustic and introspective “Newborn,” and began touring. Bolstered by the CD’s success, in 2008, Burbidge headed into the studio to create his latest release.
The CD born from those recording sessions, The Great Awakening, is an album in the traditional sense, an audio journey – not a random hodgepodge of singles strung together for convenience sake. The album guides the listener on a journey of both personal and musical discovery. Its songs are filled with messages of hope and global unity and the music is characterized by lush arrangements – strings, tabla, santoor, Irish pipes, Middle Eastern percussion, Armenian Duduk and even a choir.
